WABASHA, Minn. — River Junctions Arts Council (RJAC) is excited to announce the cast for its Summer 2026 production of The SpongeBob Musical, which will run August 13–23, 2026, at the Wabasha-Kellogg Performing Arts Center.

Leading the cast is Paul Cushman Jr. as SpongeBob SquarePants, joined by Aidan Indahl as Patrick Star, Miranda Gray-Burlingame as Sandy Cheeks, Steve Schmidt as Eugene H. Krabs, John Thyren as Squidward Q. Tentacles, Derek Anderson as Sheldon J. Plankton, and Anna Cichosz as Karen the Computer.

The production also features a talented cast of community performers in featured roles, ensemble appearances, and special guest appearances, bringing together actors of all ages from across the region. Directed by Cris Medina and Ainsley Knox, with technical direction by Adam Burns, the production brings the colorful world of Bikini Bottom to life through music, humor, and a heartfelt story about friendship, resilience, and community.

The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series and features original songs by a variety of renowned artists. Filled with humor, adventure, and uplifting messages about friendship and perseverance, the production is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
